The Mann Centrifuge is a market leading product worldwide. Their centrifuge range provide high performance filtration solutions for partial-flow oil. The Mann Centrifuge efficiently separate dirt particles and such as soot and particles resulting from abrasion of metal in lube oils in diesel engines. This technology is also suitable and efficient for gearboxes, hydraulic systems and other industrial applications.

Function of the Mann Centrifuge

Oil is pumped into the centrifuge and directed into a hollow spindle from where it is pressed through a cross-hole into the rotor of the centrifuge. The rotor fills with oil and pressure starts to build. As a result pressurized oil is forced out through opposite nozzles in the bottom of the rotor.

Internal layout of the Mann Centrifuge

This causes the nozzle to rotate very fast. Consequently the centrifugal force in the rotor causes the dirt particles to accelerate radially and deposit on the internal wall of the rotor. As a result of centrifugal motion these deposits form a thick cake.
