Fuel polishing is now an essential part of any bulk fuel storage management program. Diesel fuel will become unusable if left unmanaged in the storage vessel. See below our basic fuel polishing guide to making sure that your fuel will always be usable.

Step 1 – Treat your fuel with Coval Aquasolve

This amazing product chemically joins water to the hydrocarbon fuel (diesel, petrol etc). In laymen terms water in your fuel tank or fuel becomes part of the fuel and is used safely by the fuel system. The fuel is now protected from microbial growth (diesel bug) & corrosive water damage to your fuel system.
The treatment rate is 1 litre of Aquasolve per 1000 litres of fuel.1 Litre = £24.99

Step 2 – Process your Fuel with a Filtration System

Filter Solutions Ltd manufacture a small range of efficient and industry respected fuel polishing systems. Our products are based around coalescing filter technology which means that while removing debris to 5µm the filter is also removing emulsified water from fuel. Processing fuel through a filter system is essential to remove:

  • Microbial growth whether it be dead or alive
  • Water coming from condensation or bio content
  • Rust from the water damage to the tank
  • Debris such as sand, wood, plastics

Fuel Polishing Systems start at £3250

Step 3 – Add Aquasolve to new batches of Fuel

By adding Aquasolve to all fuel deliveries you are ensuring that water does not build up in the fuel. Which in turn stops microbial growth from forming.

Step 4 -Repeat Steps 1 to 4 Regularly
